The upsides was mostly written in May and June of 2009 by the Wonder Years in a small, sweaty basement in South Philadelphia. It was recorded, produced, and mixed by Vince Ratti at the Skylight Studios in Fairless Hills, PA in August of 2009. On the original release of the album, all of the photos were taken by Mitch Wojick in and around Los Angeles,CA during October of 2009. The layout was put together by Chris Hansen and the whole thing was mastered by Bill at Azimuth Studios. Dan Fishel painted the band name for the cover and Bobby Morris lent us his face for the photographs.
For the bonus release, Will Yip and Vince Ratti recorded all of the music. It was, again, mastered by Bill Henderson. The New artwork was done by James Heimer and the new photo was taken by Mike Shearer.
