On this album The Last Poets revisit some of their most revolutionary verses:
A1 & B3 were first recorded for [r=309802] (1971);
A2 to B2 & B4 were first recorded for [m83865] (1970).
The album as a recording project was started when [a9786] recorded drum tracks in Prince Fattys Brighton studio in 2019 for the last two Poets, Abiodun Oyewole and Umar Bin Hassan. Along the way more musicians added input: Courtney Pine, Joe Armon Jones, Kaidi Tatham and Akinola Adio Oyebola & Kunle Justice of [a273534]. Completion was delayed due to the covid pandemic. The vocals by [a48284] were apparantly recorded at the tail end or right after the pandemic.
