Halloween – From the first King Diamond LP, [m=58165] (March ’86), “Halloween” is the ultimate ‘fright night’ anthem. A resurrection of this holiday classic is definitely in order.
Them – Originally appearing as the title track of King Diamond’s third LP, Them (June’ 89), this eerie instrumental is sure to arouse even the sleepiest of spirits, especially since it is one of King’s personal favorites.
No Presents For Christmas – December 1985 marked the release of the [m=128418] 12″ single – the first recorded material by King Diamond, following the demise of the legendary [a251799]. This now classic holiday favorite is a light-hearted yuletide message from King to all his fans. Christmas will never be the same!
Shrine – Originally appearing as the B-side of [m=344578] 12″ single (July ’87). “Shrine” was recorded during the sessions that produced the second King Diamond LP, [m=262527]. “Shrine” is not related to the hauting tale of young Abigail’s revenge and therefore wasn’t included on that LP. Nonetheless it stands out as one of the strongest and heaviest tunes ever recorded by the band.
The Lake – Recorded during the sessions of [m=58165], “The Lake” ranks as probably the rarest of all King Diamond tracks. Until now, it was only available on the limited-edition [m=344576] picture disc, which quickly came and disappeared in September ’86.
Phone Call – There’s no music here – just pure horror. Previously appearing only on the CD of Them, this “Phone Call” from King’s deceased grandmother helps to further paint the gory details surrounding the story of Them.
