Housed in a gatefold jacket with a matte finish on the outside and a semi-glossy finish on the inside.
Issued with white die-cut paper inner sleeves with a thumb-cut at the opening edge on one side.
Side D has a laser etching of the front cover image.
The left hand pocket includes a folded 39,5 x 30,5 cm folded 8-panel insert, and the right hand pocket includes a two-sided large format insert plus a single-sided “Neil Young Archives” site map.

Track A5 was recorded live at Fillmore East.
For this 50th anniversary edition, track B4, Lookout Joe, has been replaced with an unreleased version, also from the original album sessions at SIR studios in 1973.
The versions of Walk On (track C1) and Tonight’s The Night (Take 3) (track C6) have never been released. Everybody’s Alone (track C3), Raised On Robbery (With Joni Mitchell) (track C4) and Speakin’ Out Jam (track C5) were included on [url=https://www.discogs.com/master/1875663-Neil-Young-Neil-Young-Archives-Vol-II-1972-1976]Neil Young Archives Vol. II[/url], and the version of Wonderin’ (track C2) has only been available to stream on NYA. None of the bonus tracks have been previously released on vinyl.

“Borrowed Tune” was recorded at Broken Arrow. The nine other songs were recorded at “Studio Instrument Rentals” rehearsal hall “D” in Hollywood by David Briggs with Gabby Garcia and Tim Mulligan, except “Come On Baby Let’s Go Downtown” by Crazy Horse with Danny Whitten singing.
All songs were mixed by David Briggs and Tim Mulligan, except “Borrowed Tune” mixed by Tim Mulligan at Broken Arrow Ranch. “Lookout Joe” and “Walk On” mixed by John Hanlon at Village Studios.
